Binod Das bettered his own record in wrestling history of the state by becoming the secretary of Odisha Wrestling Association for a sixth term earlier on Sunday (Jan 3). Das, who has already functioned in the post for 20 years, will stay there for another four years (2016-2020). He has been occupying the post since 1995 after succeeding Sailen Ray, who held it for 12 years.
In fact, all the office-bearers of the state body were elected unopposed in the meeting which was held at Barabati Stadium here two days ago. Odisha Olympic Association representative Rabindra Kumar Parida, Odisha Council of Sports representative Rashmi Ranjan Samantaray and Wrestling Federation of India observer Asit Saha were present in the meeting.
